Blind Assessment
Aromatic, fruit-toned and gently savory. Red grape, dried apricot, orange zest, thyme and cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Softly brisk acidity; smooth, medium-weight body. The finish is gently drying, with fruit and herbal notes front and center.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers and processed by the anaerobic washed method, in which the fermentation step occurs in a hermetically sealed vessel before the beans are washed and dried. Dou Zhai Coffee & Roastery is a Taiwan-based specialty coffee roaster and cafe. Visit www.douzhaicafe.com for more information.
Bottom Line
An inviting anaerobic washed Uganda with clear fruit and herbal character, offering modest complexity in an accessible profile.
