Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Sweetly bright, citrus-toned. Notes of orange zest, jasmine, dark chocolate, honey, almond butter in aroma and small cup. Syrupy, buoyant mouthfeel; sweet citrusy finish. In cappuccino format, orange and honey notes commingle with dark chocolate and jasmine, with pleasing balance.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of the 74110, 74112 and 74165 varieties of Arabica (all grade 1), and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Buon Caffe is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe in Taipei, Taiwan. Visit www.buoncaffe.com.tw for more information.
Bottom Line
A vibrant Ethiopia Yirgacheffe espresso that’s bright with citrus and floral character in the straight shot, and folds into chocolaty sweetness in milk.
