Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Structured, crisp and lean. Notes of raspberry, pomegranate, raw honey, fir and dark chocolate. Smooth body; gently drying finish. Milk tamps down the fruit and pushes the chocolate and aromatic wood forward, though some nice tartness remains underneath.
Notes
A single-origin coffee from Thailand, produced at Bluekoff Coffee Plantation and processed onsite by the carbonic maceration method, which involves fermenting whole cherry in a sealed container that has been flushed with CO2, then drying in the whole fruit. Bluekoff is a Thai company involved in all aspects of coffee, from milling and roasting to coffee wholesale and retail and related equipment and training services. Bluekoff produces more than 1,200 tons of green coffee and 1,000 tons of roasted coffee per year. Visit www.bluekoff.com or email info@bluekoff.com or call +66-819799565 for more information.
Bottom Line
A carbonic-style Thailand SOE with intriguing fruit complexity that is best neat; in milk, the profile consolidates to cocoa and fresh-cut fir.
