Blind Assessment
Intensely floral-driven, with jasmine, wisteria, and orange blossom up front, supported by layers of Meyer lemon, honey, and cocoa nib Vibrant, balanced acidity; very silky mouthfeel. Exceptionally long finish, echoing the sweet citrus and rich florals of the cup.
Notes
This exceptional coffee was selected as the No. 7 coffee on Coffee Review’s list of the Top 50 Coffees of 2025. Produced by Zou Zhu Yuan, entirely of the Gesha variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Kakalove Café is a nano-roaster located in the small city of Chia-Yi in Taiwan that strives to procure and roast the finest quality coffee. Visit www.kakalovecafe.com.tw or email kahiyuho@gmail.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A world-class Taiwan-grown Gesha — explosively aromatic, complexly structured — that compares with the best expressions of Gesha in Panama or Ethiopia.
