Blind Assessment
Deeply aromatic, savory-sweet. Dark chocolate, dried fig, amber, cedar and pomelo in aroma and cup. Softly bright, gently structured acidity; full, syrupy-smooth body. The finish is long and lingering, with spice, dark chocolate and sweet citrus notes.
Notes
Produced by smallholding members of Central Sumatera Coffee (CSC), from trees of the Abyssinia and Typica varieties of Arabica, and processed by the anaerobic washed method, in which the fermentation step occurs in a hermetically sealed vessel before the beans are washed and dried. Imported by Black Gold Coffee. Oliera Cafe is a Taiwan-based specialty coffee roaster. For more information, visit www.olieracafe.com.
Bottom Line
A compelling anaerobic Sumatra that balances classic spice and depth with distinct clarity, delivering a richly layered and memorable cup.
