Blind Assessment
Richly floral, delicately fruity. Magnolia, raspberry, sugarcane, lemon verbena, and cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Juicy-bright, phosphoric acidity; viscous, syrupy mouthfeel. Focused, flavor-saturated finish.
Notes
Comprised entirely of the Typica variety of Arabica, and processed by the anaerobic honey method, in which some of the fruit flesh is removed from the beans, then fermented in an oxygen-free environment before drying. Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit www.paradiseroasters.com or call 808-498-4048 for more information.
Bottom Line
A lovely example of Typica — Hawai’i Island’s primary variety of Arabica — grown in the Puna District: deeply floral and balanced by red berries and cacao.
