Blind Assessment
Sweetly savory and deep-toned. Notes of ripe red plum, baking chocolate, cedar, molasses, nutmeg in aroma and cup. Round, gentle; syrupy, viscous mouthfeel. The finish is long and flavor-saturated, carrying chocolate and spice into a complex, satiating long.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, entirely of the Maragogype variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Heady Cup is an Illinois-based specialty roaster with a focus on sustainability and sourcing traceable green coffees. Visit www.headycup.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A resonant big-beaned Maragogype from Papua New Guinea with satisfying depth: think red fruit, chocolate and spice in a plush, mouth-filling structure.
