Blind Assessment
Dazzlingly aromatic, lush and intricately fruit-toned. Passion fruit, white peach, gardenia, bergamot and dark honey in aroma and cup. Vibrant, crystalline acidity; plush, nectar-like mouthfeel. The finish is exceptionally long and expansive, layering tropical fruit, sweet citrus and heady florals.
Notes
This coffee won 1st place (Gold) in the Traditional Natural category, U.S. division, of the inaugural Kenneth Davids Cup. Produced by José David Garrido of Mama Cata Estate, entirely of the Mokkita variety of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit www.paradiserasters.com or call 808-498-4048 for more information.
Bottom Line
A spectacular natural-processed Panama Mokkita that couples extraordinary aromatic range with precision and poise — intensely expressive yet beautifully controlled.
