Blind Assessment
Lavish, vibrantly sweet, exquisitely complex. Layered floral notes — gardenia, jasmine, and honeysuckle — intersect with bright citrus (read Meyer lemon and tangerine), anchored by a delicate throughline of cocoa nib and sandalwood. The structure is buoyant yet refined, with crisp, wine-like acidity and a silky, almost weightless mouthfeel. The finish resonates harmoniously with notes of fruit, florals, and a hint of spice.
Notes
Produced by the Chiari Family of Finca Lerida, entirely of the Geisha variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). 1980 Cafe is a Tainan City, Taiwan-based specialty coffee roaster. Visit www.1980cafetw.com for more information.
Bottom Line
An archetypal washed Geisha from Boquete at its most elegant and expressive — floral-saturated, fruit-forward, and dynamically sweet.
