Blind Assessment
Bright, sweet-toned and confidently articulated. Notes of cocoa nib, Meyer lemon, roasted almond, salted caramel, and magnolia blossom. Buoyant, citrusy acidity; crisp, silky mouthfeel. The finish lingers with citrus brightness and cocoa warmth.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers(of largely women-led farms), from the Nuevo Paraíso community, from trees of the Bourbon, Marsellesa and Costa Rica varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Certified USDA Organic. Founded in 2011 by Keith Hamrick and Jen Lovrak, Northbound Coffee Roasters is a family-owned and -operated roastery in Mount Shasta, California. Bottom Line
A highly refined Chiapas profile: citrus-driven, sweetly floral, and texturally polished. Superb balance between brightness and depth, showcasing the quiet sophistication of this region’s smallholder lots.
