Blind Assessment
Richly sweet, balanced and grounded. Dark chocolate, dried fig, roasted almond, tangerine zest, magnolia in aroma and cup. Mildly brisk acidity; dense, syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is long and harmoniously cocoa-toned.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers of the SACACLI Cooperative, from trees of the Catimor, Catuai and Parainema varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC). Utopian Coffee is a specialty roaster based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Visit www.utopiancoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A beautifully composed darker-roasted Nicaragua that is both comforting and distinctive — and it’s ROC (Regenerative Organic Certified).
