Blind Assessment
Vivid and classically structured. Black currant, red plum, pink grapefruit zest, violet, and cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Energetic, high-definition acidity; full, satiny-smooth mouthfeel. The finish leads with dark fruit and floral tones with a cocoa nib undercurrent.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, entirely of the SL34 variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). 1980 Cafe is a Tainan City, Taiwan-based specialty coffee roaster. Visit www.1980cafetw.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A finely articulated SL34 that showcases Kenya’s hallmark fruit intensity with precision and balance, offering both brightness and complexity.
