Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Richly sweet, chocolate-forward. Dark chocolate, caramel, dried cherry, roasted hazelnut and orange peel in aroma and small cup. Dense, velvety body; balanced bittersweet structure. In cappuccino format, notes of milk chocolate and caramel deepen dramatically, supported by subtle dried-fruit sweetness.
Notes
A blend of various coffees from Latin America, decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate, a solvent derived from sugar cane. Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit paradiseroasters.com or call 763-433-0626 for more information.
Bottom Line
A remarkably satisfying decaf espresso that delivers chocolate richness, fruit complexity and excellent performance in milk.
