Blind Assessment
Brightly sweet, finely structured. Dried apricot, orange blossom, honey, cocoa nib and Meyer lemon zest in aroma and cup. Lively, well-integrated acidity; smooth, velvety mouthfeel. The finish resonates with sweet citrus and soft cocoa tones.
Notes
Produced by Alla Kostenko and Rus Kuznetsov of A Coffee Farm in Ka’u, entirely of the Lemira variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method with yeast added to the fermentation step. Big Island Coffee Roasters is an award-winning coffee roaster operated with hands-on passion by Kelleigh Stewart and Brandon von Damitz. Visit www.bigislandcoffeeroasters.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A polished Ka‘ū Lempira, a rare variety, that balances florality and citrus clarity with stone fruit sweetness and cocoa depth.
