Blind Assessment
Rounded, sweet and quietly fruit-toned. Baked pear, dried cherry, orange peel, roasted almond and milk chocolate in aroma and cup. Soft, gently bright acidity; full, creamy mouthfeel. The finish is sweet and persistent, with notes of dried cherry, roasted almond and milk chocolate.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of the Typica, Bourbon and Marsellesa varieties of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit) and decaffeinated using ethyl acetate, a solvent derived from sugar cane. Palm Coffee Roasters is a specialty roaster based in Hollywood, Florida, just north of Miami. Visit www.palmcoffeeroasters.com for more information.
Bottom Line
An unusually satisfying natural-process decaf with ripe fruit, sweet nut and chocolate tones, offering substantial body and sweetness without the muted character often associated with decaffeinated coffees.
