Blind Assessment
Richly aromatic, floral and fruit-forward. Passionfruit, lychee, plumeria, fresh young ginger, vanilla bean, hint of Cognac in aroma and cup. Bright, juicy acidity; fluffy, silky mouthfeel. Resonant, long, flavor-saturated finish.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of the Typica, Geisha and SL34 varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method using alcohol-producing wine yeast strains during the fermentation step. Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit www.paradiseroasters.com or call 808-498-4048 for more information.
Bottom Line
A transporting Kona that’s the result of a spectacular proprietary washed process, this aptly named single-origin Kona is worthy of a splurge for its electrifying evocation of the Hawaiian Island on which it is grown — think passionfruit, lychee, ginger and plumeria!
