Blind Assessment
Brisk, savory-sweet and fruit-driven. Black currant, red plum, tamarind, narcissus and baker’s chocolate in aroma and cup. Bright, juicy acidity; light, silky mouthfeel. The finish is tart-sweet and persistent, with tamarind, black currant and baking chocolate notes.
Notes
Produced by smallholding members of the Gachatha Farmers’ Cooperative Society from trees of the SL28 and SL34 varieties of Arabica, and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Imported by Wan Yu Coffee International Co.,Ltd. Ji Shan Cafe is a specialty coffee micro-roaster in Taipei. Email purchase-strong721@gmail.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A characterful Nyeri that leans into Kenya’s savory-tart side, with concentrated dark fruit, tamarind tang and chocolate grounding its floral lift.
