Blind Assessment
Brisk, savory-sweet and crisply fruit-toned. Pomegranate, sour cherry, pomelo, sweet basil and baking chocolate in aroma and cup. Bright, tart-leaning acidity; full, satiny mouthfeel. The finish is persistent and lively, with notes of sour cherry, sweet basil and baking chocolate.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of the SL-28, SL-34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). For more information, visit Nine Point Coffee’s Facebook.
Bottom Line
A characterful Kiambu with a compelling savory streak running through tart red fruit, citrus and bittersweet chocolate, carried by an energetic but balanced structure.
