Blind Assessment
Richly aromatic, complex. Notes of ripe peach, pink grapefruit zest, chamomile, honeycomb and cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Juicy, elegant acidity; quite syrupy mouthfeel. The finish lingers with layered stone fruit sweetness and rich cocoa depth.
Notes
This 100% Ka’u coffee was developed by the Obra Family, entirely of the Typica variety of Arabica, and processed by a proprietary hybrid method that involves first drying the cherries, then rehydrating them in water before pulping and drying, leaving some fruit flesh on the beans. Bottom Line
Rusty’s new “hydro honey” hybrid processing takes this Ka‘ū Typica to sensory heights — it’s complex, layered, enigmatic and satiating.
