Blind Assessment
Richly sweet, enigmatically complex. Dark chocolate, lychee, cardamom, magnolia and brown sugar in aroma and cup. Lively, integrated acidity; full, creamy body. The finish is long and harmoniously sweet, with spice and citrus accents.
Notes
A rare hybrid of Kona Mocca™ and SL34 coffees, roasted as a holiday blend. Hula Daddy is a boutique coffee grower and roaster with farms at the 1,400- and 2,500-foot levels of the Mount Hualalai volcano near the northern end of the Kona growing district, five minutes above the town of Kailua-Kona. This coffee was produced at the higher elevation Hula Daddy farm. Visit www.huladaddy.com or call 808-327-9744 for more information.
Bottom Line
A beautifully composed hybrid of two rare Kona coffees that marries the depth of Mocca with the structure of SL34, offering a festive, spice-toned cup with lasting elegance.
