Blind Assessment: Delicate, sweet-toned. Apricot, fresh-cut fir, magnolia, hazelnut, cocoa powder in aroma and cup. Sweet in structure with lively acidity; velvety mouthfeel. The finish is richly drying with notes of hazelnut, fir and cocoa powder.
Notes: Produced by Bernardo Solano of Concepcion Farm and processed by the wet or washed method, in which skin and fruit flesh are removed from the beans or seeds before they are dried. Klatch Coffee is an award-winning small-batch roasting company in the Los Angeles area whose resident barista and trainer, Heather Perry, won both the 2003 and 2007 United States Barista Championships brewing a Klatch Coffee espresso blend. The Bottom Line : A friendly, accessible Central America cup, crisply sweet with notes of stone fruit, cocoa and hazelnut.
