Blind Assessment: Evaluated as espresso. Rich-toned, deeply chocolaty. Dark chocolate, raspberry, molasses, hazelnut, fresh-cut oak in aroma and small cup. Very syrupy mouthfeel; chocolaty, nut-toned finish. In three parts milk, a pretty floral note suggesting gardenia surfaces alongside raspberry and chocolate.
Notes: Produced by David Solano of Concepción Buena Vista from trees of the Red Bourbon and Red Caturra varieties of Arabica and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). The Bottom Line: A berry- and chocolate-driven natural-processed single-origin Guatemala espresso — rich, deep, and particularly floral in milk.
