Blind Assessment
Richly sweet, fruit-forward. Black cherry, chocolate fudge, hazelnut, gardenia, whiskey barrel in aroma and cup. Gently bright, malic acidity; plush, syrupy, vibrant mouthfeel. Chocolaty finish with undertones of hazelnut and whiskey barrel.
Notes
Produced and roasted by the Meza family at Finca Tasta, a 56-acre farm in Peru that has 19 acres cultivated with coffee and 22 acres of forest preserve. This coffee consists entirely of the Maragogype variety of Arabica and is processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit), then aged in whiskey barrels. International shipping available. Visit www.fincatasta.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A subtle barrel-aged, natural-processed Peru Maragogype — richly chocolaty, with stone fruit and nut notes and gentle whiskey aromas from barrel aging.
