Blind Assessment
Bright, juicy-sweet. Apricot, almond, pink grapefruit, white peppercorn, maple syrup in aroma and cup. Malic acidity; crisp, silky mouthfeel. Persistent finish centered around notes of almond and pink grapefruit.
Notes
Produced by smallholding members of the Banko Gotiti Cooperative in the district of Gedeb, Ethiopia, from selections of indigenous landrace varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Steel Oak Coffee is a community-driven, small-batch specialty roaster based in Ormond Beach, Florida. Bottom Line
A recognizably classic washed Ethiopia cup with notes of stone fruit, sweet citrus and nuts that’s got especially crystalline, apple-like acidity.
