Blind Assessment
Vibrant, juicy and deeply layered. Black currant, blood orange, hibiscus, dark chocolate and pomegranate in aroma and cup. Sparkling, juicy acidity; viscous, syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is exceptionally long and flavor-saturated, resonating with tart berry, citrus and dark chocolate notes.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers surrounding the Gititu Factory, from trees of the SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). JBC Coffee Roasters’ vision is simple: “let the coffee lead the way” through sourcing and roasting the best and most unique coffees available and rewarding the farmers who grow those coffees with substantial premiums. Bottom Line
A superb Kenya with exhilarating fruit intensity, resonant acidity and luxurious texture, all held together by exceptional sweetness and balance.
