Blind Assessment
Vibrant, juicy and deeply aromatic. Red currant, pomegranate, pink grapefruit, violet and dark chocolate in aroma and cup. Lively, wine-toned acidity; plush, silky mouthfeel. The finish is long and flavor-saturated, carrying black currant, violet and dark chocolate notes.
Notes
Produced by smallholding members of the Gakundu Farmers’ Cooperative Society, from trees of the Batian, SL28, SL34 and Ruiru 11 varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying) at the Gakundu Washing Station. Palm Coffee Roasters is a specialty roaster based in Hollywood, Florida, just north of Miami. Visit www.palmcoffeeroasters.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A classic, beautifully structured Kenya AA with vivid fruit, floral complexity and deep chocolate tones, all animated by bright acidity and impressive sweetness.
