Blind Assessment
Vibrantly sweet, multilayered. Magnolia, milk chocolate, golden raisin, sugarcane, lemon balm in aroma and cup. Lively, juicy-bright acidity; silky mouthfeel. The finish is long, floral-toned, and sweetly crisp.
Notes
Produced by Josué Morales at Finca La Esperanza, entirely of the Bourbon variety of Arabica, and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). USDA Certified Organic. The green coffee earned first place in the Regional Antigua Coffee Competition organized by Anacafé. El Gran Cafe is a coffee shop located in the heart of Antigua, Guatemala, whose mission is to roast and serve organic-certified coffees produced at its own Finca La Esperanza and Finca El Pintado just outside of town. Featured in El Gran Cafe’s lineup are also coffees from friends and neighbors in the region, along with award-winning and exceptional coffees from other regions of Guatemala. Visit El Gran Cafe’s website for more information.
Bottom Line
A bright, well-structured Bourbon from Antigua — articulate florals and citrus meet smooth chocolate sweetness throughout the profile.
