Blind Assessment
Intensely fruit- and floral-driven, multilayered and complex. Notes of blueberry, strawberry jam, narcissus, honey and cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Bright, juicy-tart acidity; syrupy, plush mouthfeel. The finish is long, resonant, and fruit-saturated, carrying berry and floral sweetness through a clean cocoa close.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of the Dega, Kurame and Wolisho varieties of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Magnolia Coffee is a Charlotte, North Carolina-based specialty roaster whose mission is to use sustainably sourced coffees to make a difference in the lives of coffee workers and to foster a socially conscious community with cause-supporting coffees. Bottom Line
A quintessential Ethiopia natural: berry-laden and floral yet balanced, delivering exuberance and refinement in equal measure.
