Blind Assessment
Uniquely composed, tangy-sweet. Dried apricot, pineapple kefir, dark chocolate, sandalwood, pink grapefruit zest in aroma and cup. Juicy, balanced acidity; full, syrupy-smooth mouthfeel. Finish leads with notes of pineapple kefir and dark chocolate.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, entirely of landrace selections of Arabica long grown in the region, and processed by the anaerobic washed method, in which, after skin and pulp removal, fermentation takes place in a hermetically sealed vessel before the beans are washed and dried. Buon Caffe is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe in Taipei, Taiwan. Visit www.buoncaffe.com.tw for more information.
Bottom Line
A lactic-leaning anaerobic washed Ethiopia with apricot and pineapple notes front and center — tangy-sweet, perky, complex.
