Blind Assessment
Elegant, crystalline, richly floral. Leading notes of narcissus, ripe peach, bergamot, honey and cocoa nib. Acidity is high-toned and juicy; body is delicate but resonant. The finish is long and aromatic, with persistent floral and citrus notes and a richly sweet throughline of honey.
Notes
Produced by the Nano Genji cooperative in Ethiopia’s Jimma Zone, from trees of local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Certified USDA Organic. Founded in 2011 by Keith Hamrick and Jen Lovrak, Northbound Coffee Roasters is a family-owned and -operated roastery in Mount Shasta, California. Bottom Line
A washed Ethiopia with soaring floral and juicy stone fruit notes, and an especially compelling structure.
