Blind Assessment
Vibrantly fruit-saturated, floral-toned. Blueberry, strawberry, star jasmine, cocoa nib and bergamot in aroma and cup. Juicy, lively acidity; light, silky body. The finish is long and perfumed, carrying berry and floral sweetness into the long.
Notes
Produced by the Hassen family at their estate farm in the Guji Zone of southern Ethiopia, from local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed by the honey method (some of the fruit flesh is left on the beans during the drying process). Established in 2010, Red Rooster is an organic-certified micro-roaster focusing on socially conscious, high-quality coffee. Visit redroostercoffee.com or call 540-745-7338 for more information.
Bottom Line
A beautifully articulated Guji honey that delivers classic berry intensity with refined florals and a harmonious, persistent finish.
