Blind Assessment
Delicate, bright and quietly aromatic. Yellow peach, lemon zest, carnation, cocoa powder and almond in aroma and cup. Gently brisk acidity; light, silky mouthfeel. The finish is sweet and persistent, with yellow peach, cocoa powder and almond notes.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Encounter Coffee Roasters is a Taipei-based specialty coffee roaster and cafe. Visit Encounter’s Instagram for more information.
Bottom Line
A restrained washed Guji with pleasing stone fruit and cocoa character, supported by almond tones in a light-bodied, straightforward cup.
