Blind Assessment
Elegantly aromatic, buoyant and nuanced. White peach, bergamot, jasmine, lemon verbena and cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Bright, crystalline acidity; silky-mooth, rounded mouthfeel. The finish is long and fragrant, with notes of white peach, jasmine and cocoa nib.
Notes
This coffee earned Finalist recognition in the Traditional Washed category, U.S. division, of the inaugural Kenneth Davids Cup. Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed at Kedir Hassan’s Benti Nenka Station by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Indaba Coffee is a Spokane, Washington-based specialty coffee roaster and café founded in 2009, known for thoughtfully sourced coffees and a community-centered mission built around hospitality and social impact. Bottom Line
An exceptional washed Guji that marries soaring florals and brilliant citrus with succulent stone fruit and cocoa depth, all carried by remarkable clarity, sweetness and finesse.
