Blind Assessment
Intensely perfumed, vivid and complexly layered. Red currant, pink grapefruit, rose, vanilla bean and dark chocolate in aroma and cup. Bright, juicy acidity; full, syrupy-smooth mouthfeel. The finish is exceptionally aromatic and persistent, with notes of rose, red currant and dark chocolate.
Notes
This coffee earned Finalist recognition in the Experimental category, U.S. division, of the inaugural Kenneth Davids Cup. Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method; the roaster infused the green coffee with distilled rose petals before roasting. Imported by Sibu Coffee. Regent strives to deliver coffee with care and purpose. Visit regentcoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A dramatically floral Guji in which the rose infusion heightens the coffee’s natural perfume, set against tart-sweet fruit, vanilla-toned sweetness and dark chocolate depth.
