Blind Assessment
Nuanced, delicately sweet, honey-toned. Wild honey, cocoa nib, myrrh, tangerine, lilac in aroma and cup. Balanced, juicy acidity; very full, satiny mouthfeel. Long, lingering, lush finish.
Notes
Produced by Maria Pacas of Finca La Providencia, entirely of the Bernadina variety of Arabica, and processed by the honey method, in which some of the fruit flesh is left on the beans during the drying process. Torque Coffee has an unusual business model that promises 20 percent of the retail value of each coffee to its producer. Visit www.torquecoffees.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A flavor-laden, cocoa- and floral-toned El Salvador honey with rich sweetness and inviting depth.
