Blind Assessment
Richly fruit-toned, warmly sweet. Black cherry, milk chocolate, tangerine zest, brown sugar and cedar in aroma and cup. Gently brisk acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is lingering and harmonious, carrying notes of cocoa, ripe fruit and citrus zest.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, entirely of the Caturra variety of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Steel Oak Coffee is a community-driven, small-batch specialty roaster based in Ormond Beach, Florida. Visit www.steeloakcoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A deeply satisfying Colombia natural that balances ripe fruit sweetness with chocolate richness and complex citrus, making for a compelling and inviting cup.
