Blind Assessment
xplosively aromatic, wildly layered. Passionfruit, guava, candied citrus, orange blossom, basil and spearmint in aroma and cup. Electric, high-definition acidity; plush, creamy body. The finish is long and kaleidoscopic, cycling through tropical fruit, sweet herbs and floral tones.
Notes
Produced by Nestor and Adrian Lasso of Finca El Diviso, entirely of the Java variety of Arabica, and processed by the anaerobic natural method, in which the whole fruit is fermented in tanks with limited oxygen before drying, also in the whole fruit. JBC Coffee Roasters’ vision is simple: “let the coffee lead the way” through sourcing and roasting the best and most unique coffees available and rewarding the farmers who grow those coffees with substantial premiums. Bottom Line
A thrilling El Diviso Java — exuberant, multidimensional and impeccably structured, delivering a dazzling interplay of fruit, florals and sweet herb complexity.
