Blind Assessment
Strikingly floral, high-toned. Lilac, Meyer lemon, ripe peach, white tea, basil in aroma and cup. Juicy, citric acidity; very lithe, silky-smooth mouthfeel. Finish is polished, sweet, and remarkably long.
Notes
Produced by Juan Peña of Hacienda La Papaya, entirely of the Typica variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method with a yeast inoculation during the fermentation process. Utopian Coffee is a specialty roaster based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Visit www.utopiancoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
An expressive, thoughtful composed Ecuador that highlights innovative processing — crystalline acidity, perfumed aromatics, and a decadently silky mouthfeel.
