Blind Assessment
Delicately original, refreshing. Orange zest, fresh-cut fir, fresh leather, baking chocolate, a hint of mint in aroma and cup. Sweet, lightly savory-edged in structure, smooth in mouthfeel. Finishes with distinct orange and mint notes.
Notes
Produced from trees of local landrace varieties of Arabica on Suke Qoto farm in the Guji region and processed by the natural (dried in the whole fruit) method. At nearly 550 acres, Suke Quto farm, washing station and dry mill works with 171 neighboring farmers who deliver coffee cherries to the mill. Decaffeinated by the Swiss Water water-only process. Founded in 1995 by Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell, Equator Coffees operates retail stores in the San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California and provides coffee to hundreds of wholesale accounts. Bottom Line
A light-footed, lively cup, with engagingly original aromatics and an impressively plush mouthfeel.
