Blind Assessment
Richly aromatic, flavor-saturated. Honeysuckle, raspberry, candied kumquat, cocoa nib, vanilla bean in aroma and cup. Juicy, complex acidity; plush syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is long and multilayered, carrying berry and citrus sweetness soft cocoa nib undertones.
Notes
This exceptional coffee was selected as the No. 26 coffee on Coffee Review’s list of the Top 50 Coffees of 2025. Produced by Héctor Esteban Sánchez of Finca Mirazù, from trees of the Geisha variety of Arabica combined with a field blend of Geisha, Caturra and Catuai (that the farmer calls “Catajo”), and processed by a proprietary “raisin honey” method, in which the beans are dried in the whole fruit until they appear raisin-like, then the fruit skin is removed, leaving some of the mucilage on the beans during the drying process. GK Coffee is a nano-roastery in Yilan, Taiwan, that offers both retail and wholesale coffee. For more information, visit www.gkcoffee.com.tw or email gkcoffee2015@gmail.com.
Bottom Line
A show-stopping Geisha-heavy field blend from Costa Rica — lush, floral, fruit-saturated and remarkably structured, offering an exquisite harmony of brightness, sweetness and depth.
