Blind Assessment
Richly sweet, fruit-forward. Blackberry, dried plum, cocoa nib, lilac, maple syrup in aroma and cup. Gently bright acidity; plush, syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is crisply sweet, with lingering blackberry, cocoa nib and maple syrup notes.
Notes
Produced by Doña Francisca and Oscar Chacon of Finca Las Lajas, entirely of the Caturra variety of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Rick and Randy Evans founded Evans Brothers Coffee in 2009, focused on sourcing and roasting the finest small lots of seasonally available coffees in a context of sustainability and responsibility. Bottom Line
A lush, deeply sweet Costa Rica natural with saturated dark berry fruit, floral lift and a resonant cocoa-toned finish.
