Blind Assessment
Intensely aromatic, fruit-sweet. Raspberry, passionfruit, rose, cocoa nib, honey in aroma and cup. Briskly sweet acidity; round, velvety-smooth mouthfeel. The finish is long, emphasizing berry and floral sweetness.
Notes
Produced by Ivan Gutierrez of Finca La Esmeralda, entirely of the Geisha variety of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Dou Zhai Coffee & Roastery is a Taiwan-based specialty coffee roaster and cafe. Visit www.douzhaicafe.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A small-production Costa Rica Geisha natural that marries bright tropical fruit and heady florals with a grounding cocoa richness.
