Blind Assessment
Deeply sweet, fruit-forward, and complex. Pomegranate, red grape, cocoa nib, tamarind, lavender in aroma and cup. Bright, winey acidity; full, velvety-smooth mouthfeel. The finish leads with tart fruit and floral notes that resolve gracefully into deep cocoa sweetness.
Notes
Produced by Angela Suarez of Finca Tío Conejo from trees of the Sudan Rume variety of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Utopian Coffee is a specialty roaster based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Visit www.utopiancoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A plush, fruit-saturated natural-process Sudan Rume from Colombia’s Tío Conejo, offering layered fruit and floral tones grounded by chocolate richness.
