Blind Assessment
Tropical, spice-toned, lavishly herbal. Passionfruit, lemongrass, chamomile, clove molasses in aroma and cup. Brightly sweet structure with vibrant, phosphoric acidity; plush, syrupy mouthfeel. Finish leads with passionfruit and molasses, anchored by lingering notes of green spices and tea-like florals.
Notes
Produced by Wilder Lasso of Finca Bella Alejandria, entirely of the Geisha of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Jaunt Coffee Roasters is a San Diego-based roaster and café with an extensive coffee and food menu. Visit www.jauntcoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
This washed anaerobic Colombia dazzles with tropical fruit, deep herbs, and an undercurrent of molasses-toned sweetness — a heady, enticing cup.
