Blind Assessment
Bright, juicy, intricately sweet-tart. Black currant, pink grapefruit, wild honey, thyme, red plum in aroma and cup. Lively, integrated acidity; smooth, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is resonant and fruit-driven, with black currant and sweet citrus notes.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of SL28, SL34 and Ruiru 11 varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Sourced in partnership with Mikono Coffee, a Kenyan-owned importer working to strengthen direct-trade relationships. Old World Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster with cafes in Reno and Carson City, Nevada. Visit OldWorldCoffeeRoasters.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A classic Kenya profile — vivid, layered, and high-toned — rendered with an appealing sweetness that rounds the edges without muting the complexity.
