Blind Assessment
Brightly sweet, gently floral. Red apple, lemon zest, honey, chamomile and cocoa powder in aroma and cup. Softly lively acidity; smooth, velvety body. The finish is clean and balanced, with lingering citrus and cocoa notes.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from local landrace varieties of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Decaffeinated by the Swiss Water method. Heist specializes in decaffeinated coffees which it sells via a playful speakeasy-inspired website of unusual design (“The best work happens in the shadows”). Visit www.drinkheist.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A thoughtfully executed decaf that preserves the clarity and floral-citrus character of a washed Guji while offering a smooth, accessible cup.
