Roast: Medium-Dark Review Date: December 1997
Origin: Various Price: NA

Blind Assessment: No carbon and lots of sweetness here, smoothing and rounding the dark-roast pungency. A pleasing smokiness turns sweet and ambiguously chocolate in the aftertaste.

Notes: Sweet and not burnt. For every pound sold of this coffee, Allegro donates 25 cents to fund fresh water projects in Kenyan coffee growing areas, making this quite literally a gift coffee.

Who Should Drink It: The holiday factor:Another after-dinner comfort coffee, full of reassuring sweet notes and cushioned corners. A good choice for the family chocolate-lover.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
