Origin: South-central Kenya
Notes: Despite national coffee leadership marred by confusion and accusations of corruption, Kenya continues to produce some of the world's most elegant and distinctive coffees. AA is the highest grade of Kenya coffee based on bean size. Barrington Coffee is an artisan roaster dedicated to elite coffees, fresh delivery and roasting that foregrounds the coffee and not the roast. Blind Assessment: Crisp aroma: round fruity and floral tones with hints of sweet tangerine. In the cup, bright acidity, medium body, full mouthfeel and intense flavors of flowers and tangy citrus that soften toward apricot. Very clean, delicately flavor-saturated finish.
Who should drink it: A crisply bright, fruit- and floral- toned Kenya, a breakfast cup as exotic as it is pure.
