Origin: El Salvador.

Notes: Bourbon is a prestigious, heirloom variety of Coffea Arabica; this particular strain has a yellow skin. Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters is a distinguished small-batch roasting company. Visit www.johnsonbrotherscoffee.com or call 608-256-5282 for more information.

Blind Assessment: A delicate, refreshing, meadowy coffee. Flowers, flowering grass, fresh, cherry-toned fruit in the aroma. In the cup gentle, bright acidity, lightish but silky mouthfeel, a distinct honey note with continuing flowers and flowering grass and the pure, tartly sweet taste of the coffee fruit. Slightly astringent but sweet finish; the honey and floral suggestions deepen toward molasses.

Who should drink it: A light roast and a fresh-crop coffee combine to present a particular kind of coffee pleasure, light-bodied, crisply sweet, spring-like, the delicate opposite of robust. Avoid putting anything into this coffee except your mouth.
