Roast (Agtron): Medium (44/73) Estimated Price: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin: Boquete growing region, western Panama
Notes: El Burro Estate is an award-winning coffee farm owned by the Lamastus family in Panama's famous Boquete growing region. Geisha Coffee Roaster is a Florida based Internet retailer with a wide assortment of coffee from around the world. The company has deep family ties to coffee farms in Panama, including this one. (However, the company name should not be confused with the Geisha or Gesha coffee variety, a particularly costly, distinguished variety of arabica also associated with Panama.) Visit www.geishacoffee.com or call 407-409-8704 for more information.
Blind Assessment: Intensely sweet flavor and aroma dominated by flowers, apricot and tangerine. Soft, syrupy mouthfeel, bright-toned but balanced acidity and a remarkably rich, brandy-toned flavor. Crisp finish with sweet stone fruit notes lingering in the long.
Who should drink it: Those who appreciate refined intensity in a coffee that is roasted by the same family that grew it.
